Route Stats
  • Total Mileage:4
  • Total Elevation Gain:2,000'
  • Class:II

From the trailhead, take the Fourth of July Lake East less than a quarter of a mile until reaching the a mining road that leads to the south. Follow the mining road across the broad lower slopes of Fourth of July Peak.

Pick a line through the forests to the east that best suites and bushwack to the base of the northwest ridge taking into factor that quite a bit of this area has been recently burned. At 9,400' the forest will clear at the base of the ridge. Scramble up loose rock and gently terrain for another 1,300' to the summit. Any obstacles that present themselves are easily bypassed on the south side of the ridge.
