Approach

The starting point of this route is the Passo del Naret (2438m). You can approach it from:

1.The Lago del Naret (2310m) 1h 40min from Locarno by car and then it will take 30-40 min. on a marked path

2.Ossasco (45min by car from Bellinzona, 1h from Lugano) and then 3h of walk

3.from Robiei (1900m), 3 h on foot.

Route Description

Remark: I advise this route ONLY to people with a very good mountain experience

The first step is to arrive up to the Passo del Naret (2438m), then walk to the Pizzo del Naret (2588m). There is a pile of stones at the top of the Pizzo del Naret. From the Pizzo del Naret begins the ridge, following it you will arrive to a high voltage pillar (we abandoned the ridge 200m before the pillar to walk through the grass). From this pillar, continuing to the left side of the ridge (3-4 meters below the ridge) you will reach the Pizzo Cristallina (2912m). The whole ridge will take 2 hours or a bit more.

Essential Gear

If you want to bring a rope, you can, but in my opinion it is not essential.

Miscellaneous Info

If you have information about this route that doesn't pertain to any of the other sections, please add it here.

Note:

I did this route today (9 August 2003) with a friend. No snow, very sunny and pleasant climate (15-20°C). Nice!

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
