Why this album?

The Calanques is an amazing rock climbing area in the south of France. There are more than 1500 pitches of beautifull rock climbing. A lot of the climbing areas are above sea, wich gives the Calanques it's special character.

I've been two times to the Calanques (2006/2007 and 2007/2008), both in winter. The winter makes comfortable rock climbing in Belgium, the Alpes or Germany unpossible. Due to the sea, the Calanques is perfect for climbing in winter. The temperture makes the climbing very nice and you won't find too many climbers in the area.

This album contains my pictures of two years of rock climbing in the Calanques.

Wow!

It's beautiful there!
I want to go there at the beginning of september.. Hopefully the summercrowds are already gone then..
Do you know a good campingplace? Or a cheap hostel or so?

Bye,

Ferdinand.

Re: Wow!

Hallo Ferdinand,

Gr. Jurgen

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
