2nd Trip
This was my 2nd time climbing Mt Baldy, but my 1st time up the Ski Hut trail. Did the climb with two friends. It was there first time up Baldy. Weather was so so. We Had a few light rain drops and a lot of wind especially above the tree line. Made good time up to the Ski Hut, short rest, the pressed up to the summit ridge. THe last mile to the summit took some time due to one of our group started to cramp. Hung-out on the summit for about 45 min. Came down Devils Back Bone. Made good time on the way down. Cut down the ski slops to save time getting to the lower part of the fire road. GPS battery died about a 1.5 mile from the end. Total distance was just under 10 miles. Total moving time just under 4 hours. With all the breaks just over 6.
