Amazing how I think that I've sent a response and again I've hit clear by mistake... hamster still falls asleep at the wheel a little too often. Thanks again for the vote!
Thanks again... its kind of fun submitting pages like this because with peaks like this I am learning more about the far reaches of Canada and our glorious mountains in the process as well as helping others do the same... kind of a 'win win' situation.
Another great contribution about some of the remotest mountains on the planet! Where do you find photos and their owners Tim? It's really an effort. This is what makes SP best there is; having at hand excellent info about mountains you even didn't know existed. Thanks for making it even better.
High praise Velebit and I thank you for it. I came across the info. for this peak when I was tracking down some of the stuff I didn't know on the peaks in Auyuittuq National Park. It astonished me with its stark beauty and its sheer size and immediately I knew it would make a great page for SP. Thanks again and I'll keep on adding some obscure Canadian peaks as I come across them.
You sure are putting a lot into researching and making pages for the Eastern Canadian mountains... thanks, and very well done. Great pictures! Cheers, Rachel
Thanks a lot Rach. I think its past time that the mountains of Eastern Canada came out of hiding and revealed themselves to the world... they are too beautiful not to be shared... especially amongst a community of like-minded individuals like SP.
Yeah kind of looks like what my mind comes up with at night when I'm dreaming... a definite surreal quality to the place... but then again it has gone 1000's of years without even knowing the touch of man... and Amen for that. Thanks a lot for the vote.
Thanks a lot for the vote... I appreciate it a lot. The region I find spellbinding... I thought Baffin Island was special enough with just Auyuittuq until I found out about this gem... what a wondrous place this earth can be...
