Even though I've never been there part of what this is all about is putting together info on such places so that others may want to visit... this area has probably seen fewer than a few hundred visitors (outside the Inuit) for millenia... it is like nowhere else on earth and I was excited to put it up on SP... there is one more from the area that I will probably put up as well and then I will quit the Far north and concentrate on peaks closer to home that I know better.
I am speechless when I look at this peak too... words undoubtedly fail. Thanks again for your time and attention Aaron I appreciate it. -Tim-
Wow... thanks for the vote and the great words... I appreciate them. I am sure because you are part of the Hungarian Antarctic program places like this must appeal to you immensely and you must have some experience in such barren but strikingly beautiful areas. I'm happy to have intorduced you to the beauty of Baffin Island... hope you get to see it one day. -Tim-
Thanks for your kind letter, and telling the truth, I feel honored for your reply. You should not be so modest, because your achievements and photos have a really bold style and they are seriously impressive. Also the large number and excellent quality of your submissions on Summit Log is something very inspiring that I should follow. What are your next plans?
I will be in the Alps (Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland) from June, and Hungarian buldering sites are also fairly cool, if you are around :)
PS: I am not free in August and September because of marriage, so come before, or after :)
Thanks again for the shocking beauty of Baffin Island.
Good luck and keep your boots muddy untill the next speaking :)
My apologies for not getting back to you sooner... for the most part this summer will see me staying in North America... plans to return to mexico to visit friends and climb the big volcanoes again and a visit out west to climb in and around Vancouver... plus Mt. Rainier are my goals... thanks for the offer and please keep in touch... there are MANY places inEurope I plan on visiting in the next few years... as usual so many mountains and wild places... so little time. -Tim-

Untitled CommentThis is an unbelivable place of Earth.
and the photos you presented are, as we, Hungarian say: "mocskosul gyönyörû" which is actually a superlative nice comment.
congratulations.
