It is the main peak in the eastern Dolomites after the Marmolada, the second highest in all the Dolomites.  Thanks to its  location in the centre of the majestic massif and its  fascinating profile but mainly from its western side , Mount Antealo, which according to an old tradition is called the " King of the Dolomites" can be considered the most beautiful mountain in the Cadore Dolomites.

What distinguishes  it  is its outstanding majesty and its peak often  enveloped in clouds, In winter it nearly looks like the Himalaya and consequently stimulates imagination.  It is  actually 3264 m high but its sides- mainly the south western one- look definitely belonging to the Dolomites.. On that side, infact you can see  its dramatic  faces with gorgeous but very difficult routes as you can see very well from the Mount Rite.(see pictures taken from the Mount Rite).

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
