Meany route fr Noyes-Cougar col

If climbing Mt. Meany from the Skyline Trail in Seattle Creek, the easiest way is to descend the north side of the 5500-ft Noyes-Cougar col a couple hundred vertical feet then traverse leftward, aiming for the gully seen at center here with the round snowfield. Don't go up and over Mt. Noyes unless you want to encounter crap rock and exposure on the north ridge of Noyes (the crags at upper left in the photo). Aug. 15, 2010.
