Approach

See the Getting There section of the main page for information how to get to the trailhead.

Route Description

Hike up the easy trail about a mile and a half to a fork. There is a small square of plywood with an arrow pointing to the right. If you are going to bag Fields Peak, turn left here and go about .8 miles to the summit. From the summit of Fields, you can hike/scramble down the ridge east and regain the trail in the saddle between Fields Peak and Moore Mountain. But, if you are just heading to Moore, turn right at the fork and proceed about a half mile or so to the west base of Moore. At the wooden sign that identifies this mountain, start heading cross country up to the top. Near the summit, there are 3 bumps, the third and highest is the summit.

Essential Gear

None needed.
