Malga Iuribrutto
Park at one of the picnic areas along the road to Passo Vallès. Best is the section just above the intersection to Malga Venegiota. Look for trail No 629, which leads to Malga Iuribrutto and follow Rio di Iuribrutto to Lago Iuribrutto. The lake is set aside but a visit is worthwhile due to the fine views of the Pale di San Martino northern chain.
Malga Vallazza
The Malga is located directly at the road to Passo Valles and has a small parking lot. Take trail No 631 which starts south-west of the Alm and climbs steeply to the Lastè di Iuribrutto plain. The trail bends westward to reach Lago Iuribrutto where it joins the other trail.
From the Lago follow the Iuribrutto Valley up to Forca di Iuribrutto. From the Forca turn east climbing the slopes among the porphyry rocks. The grass vanishes and a written mark on the rock indicates the spot where the Iuribrutto ascent begins. There are stone cairns to indicate a trail but you can easily lose sight of them in the sloped porphyry desert. Use your own judgement to reach the summit plateau. To finally get to the summit you need to cross the WW I walls and trenches which are in relatively good shape. Look for one of the collapsed sections. On the summit itself you will find the leftovers of a larger fortification, directly above the north face.
