Start very early at Schönaubrücke (Schönaubridge) near Gmünder Hütte. Follow the dirt road until its end (approx. 1911m). Continue via Villacher Hütte to glacier (two possible routes (a) via Keesboden or (b) follow the marked summer route). On the glacier (Hochalmkees) head northwest (direction Elendköpfe - Preimlscharte) and turn left at approx. 2900m and head for the summit (the best route is northwards of the rocks at 3116m )

ski descent - Hochalmkeesskiing down Hochalmkees

Getting There

by car: from Gmünd to Malta and follow the toll road to Schönaubrücke near Gmünder Hütte - the toll road is closed in winter (it opens in May) - but usually the road is open in winter (at one's own risk).

by public transport: - (in winter/spring) IMHO impossible

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
