Reminds me a little of Glacier NPThe ridges of the mountains make me think of Glacier. Great picture too!

Take me back there NOW!ZeeJay,
Wow, I visited the Uintahs for my first time last summer. I was just awestruck by that area. In this photo, you've really captured the essence of the High Uintahs.
Cheers!
Sarah

Okay, let's settle this ...When I grew up in northern Utah, everybody I
talked to referred to them as the "Uintas."
When was the 'h' added?
Does the 'h' stand for, "that was one "h***"
of a snowstorm that you guys/gals had !!! ??

Re: Okay, let's settle this ...Larry,
When you grew up in N. Utah, they didn't even have readin' and "ritin'" in the Rocky Mountains yet! KIDDING!
Sorry about the spelling error. You know what life at high altitude does to the mind...

Re: Very nice!I see where you're coming from. I especially
remember how beautiful 'Elkhorn Crossing' was.
But, is there a "logical way" to deal with the clouds of mosquitoes ??
I always heard that the potassium content
of bananas helps in warding off the pesky
little critters ! ???

Re: Very nice!I eat a banana every single day and I have to say it doesn't help :(

Looks real wetWas up there about two weeke prior to your trip. That whole section in the photo was darn near impassable! I dunked one shoe in thick mud on the way down.

Re: Looks real wetI choose getting scratched up over getting muddy. With that trail being so heavily used, you'd think they'd put down some bog bridges.

Re: Looks real wetHah! I forgot we had traded some posts last June. I got scratched up too but at least those bushes are not bad to walk through.
