Start point : Le Crêt near Morzine

From Morzine, follow direction Vallée de la Manche in the south east of the town. After the hamlet La Boucherie, take left to Le Crêt (1100 m). Little parking place.

Route Description


Follow the little stream and cross the meadow. Higher, in the wood, the path becomes well marked.
The slope is severe, passes by the Chalets of Bramaturtaz (1525 m), crosses the water stream and reaches the old alpine pasture with intrusive high grass.
Climb the basin occupied in its middle by the chalets of the Plan de Zore (1792 m).
Walking between two gullies, you reach the Col du Pic à Talon (2041 m).
Now begins a panoramic walk on the ridge until the summit. Beautiful views on the summits of the High Giffre. After a steeper part, you reach the Encarnette Breach (2359 m), by an easy but airy climb at the beginning on the Avoriaz side, then on the south face. Before the summit the ridge become wider.
The summit is a schisty cap with a summit cross.
