Overview

There's not much to be said about this route. It's not specially exciting. It's not dangerous. It's just a short hike walking up a dirt road, between the village of Femes and the summit, offering wonderful views of the southern tip of Lanzarote and the Montañas del Fuego. The beginning of the dirt road is rather easily found (see the route description) at the west-northwest side of the village.

The route is simple enough: take the dirt road you can see in the picture (the one winding towards the crater on the upper left corner) and hike uphill until you reach the antennas on top of the mountain. Remember that those antennas are not the real summit, as it's marked by a small cairn in a spot left of the upper stretch of the dirt road.

Essential Gear

Nothing is really essential, but the dirt road is not in a very good state. Therefore, it might be a good idea to wear strong boots in order to be more confortable. It doesn't rain that much in Lanzarote, but consider waterproof clothing if cloudy. ¡Oh! and don't expect to find any water up there. If you want to drink, you must carry it yourself.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
