Snow, Snow, Snow

More snow than expected, first (and last) 3 miles or so have no or spotty snow, after that our boots didn't touch dirt until we came back down. We didn't bring snowshoes (left them in the car) but were wishing for them quite a bit. Snow was soft and we post holed knee deep the majority of the time and waist deep on occasion. Left the trail head at 6:45am and hit the summit about 2pm. Snow was even softer and getting wet and slushy on the way down. Back to the car at 7:45pm. Very long day and a lot of hard work with the snow.
