Church Rock Sea Stack

Good afternoon to you all from a very wet and grey Bristol in the UK!

An unfinished esoteric but most exciting filming and climbing project fell neatly into place in a delightfully random way in late September when I found myself stood on the stunning Broadhaven Beach at Pembroke in South West Wales. A number of worthy recruits to the cause assembled to head out to the prominent and most alluring Church Rock sea stack, situated about 400 metres offshore. So with an armada of incongruous vessels including 3 people crammed onto a 2 seat sit-on kayak and my majestic Explorer 2 dinghy, we set sail into the Celtic sea...

Remarkably and much to our suprise Church Rock was reached safely and no-one drowned, drifted half-way to America or required rescuing by a Sea King Heli. Consequently most of the recorded routes were climbed including the photogenic "crag classic" called "Man Underboard" which we filmed before putting up 3 new routes so a grand day out was had by all.
