Really nice loop, colors changing

Parked at the regular trailhead, surprised to find all the lower lots full, people parked along the road. Hiked down Chavez trail, then along the bottom of Beaver Brook, then to the intersection with the Nature Trail/B.B. Turned right (south) and uphill, headed back to the car. 5.2 miles RT, still 900+' of gain. Gorgeous with the colors changing. Despite full parking lots, we saw only 3 groups of people, and only 8 people total in those 3 groups. Weird.
