Overview
The Cerros de la Plaza are located southeast of the Laguna Grande de la Plaza, en the southern part of the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy.
It is one of the easiest snow peaks of the Sierra.
The Cerros are an ideal destination when you make the traverse through the Sierra (see Route posted by StickT at

Getting There - Route Description
From Cocuy go up the road to La Cueva and follow the mentioned route to Laguna Grande de la Plaza (7h).
Establish your camp at the north-eastern side of the lagoon.
Route (PD):
Follow a small trail and traces up to long ledges of massiv rock. The trail is marked with stone manikins.
When you reach the glacier you cross the moat easily (it was easy in Feb. 2009) and walk up without problems.
From the ascension you have spectacular views to the snow peaks in the West.
Finally, after crossing the glacier you climb up the rocks (PD, I-II) without difficulty to the summit (4h).
Red Tape
In high season (December-February; Eastern), you pay entrance at a small building of the National Park administration.
