The 10th most prominent peak in the Alps

Monviso (or Monte Viso) is the 10th most prominent peak in the Alps, and at least 500m higher than any peak around it.
After we completed our Giro del Monviso, I drove up a fairly nearby pass, and took a picture which shows clearly just how prominent Monviso is. Here it is.

Camping sauvage

There are huts, but I think this is better:

Our three camps: above the scenic Lago di Pellegrina, below the Col de la Traversette, and in the Vallone di Soustra.

Most of the pictures on this page were taken by my brother Luuk, and have been marked as such.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
