Route Description

Branscum-Martin Route begins on the far left of the rock (brown streaks mark the rock, just left of "Piece of Cake").

Pitch 1: Face climb to a left leaning crack dyke, small cam and nut. Continue up past one bolt. Continue over a small ceiling (1-1.5" cam). 50 foot Face climb over to the slanting dihedral and belay at two bolts.

Pitch 2: Finish by heading straight up the cracks above the belay or right along the dihedral finish of "A Piece of Cake," to the large ledge above. Belay here at two rap bolts. Descend by rappel or continue to the top for a walk off.

Variation: after passing first bolt, climb up to rail six feet above bolt. Traverse right toward bolt for "Piece of Cake." Sling flake halfway and continue to bolt. Follow the obvious corner 30' to a bolt and then up to a two bolt belay at the lower left of the dihedral.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
