A Clingman's Trek 3

Seeing this has been my third summit of Clingman’s Dome, it has started to loose its luster. After making our descent from Mt Lecont that day, we drove along the Clingman’s Dome Road and parked near the trail head for the Sugarland Mountain Trail (which leads to Mt Collins Shelter). After making a quick trek to the shelter, we turned around and made our way west along the Appalachian Trail towards the summit of Clingman’s Dome. After approximately 3 to 4 miles we finally reached the summit of Clingman’s Dome. By the time we reached the summit, the clouds had moved in and a slight rain started. After taking some wonderful black and white pictures, we walked down the spiral staircase and back onto the trail. The walk back seemed longer by much easier.
