2015 West Ridge

Great Climbing

Omar and I succeed on Cutthroat on a long one day drive and climb. Weather was good, rock was good, plenty of water to the basin below West Ridge Route. NO SNOW in the basin, but running water to this spot. We got behind a team of two that was a little slow, but otherwise the place was quiet. Used a little pro here and there to be safe and comfortable. This is a great route to tune up our limited climbing skills in a fantastic setting. Rap the route we came up to get ahead of other team using the bolted chains on top. Crossed the ledge off the summit onto the West Ridge to access the three sets of bolted chains to get down. Used one 60m rope.
