Yosemite Valley Flood

This is the road from Yosemite Village to Sentinel Bridge. The Merced River had flooded overnight shutting down roads in and out of the valley. This road was passable, but the rangers had closed it anyway. We took our shoes off and walked through 2-3 inch deep freezing rain and snowmelt to get to Sentinel Bridge- in order to get a view of Yosemite Falls behind flooded Sentinel Meadow. May 16, 2005
