Grassi Ridge (II 5.7)
Mary and I took the bus to Lake O'Hara and spent the night at the campground. We started in the morning at 6AM and got to the start of the climbing at 7AM. The views were spectacular and the crux pitch was nice, but otherwise, the climbing was fairly uninspiring. Too much flaky shale and loose rock for our tastes. The descent was also a bit of a chore and we arrived too late for High Tea at the Lodge. In general, a nice day out, but probably not worthy of its inclusion in the 100 North American Classics.
