awesome adventure!

Way to get out there in the big lost. Did you wish you had skis?

Re: awesome adventure!

Thanks! We saw plenty of places that would be back country skiing paradise, ski's or snowshoe's would have been nice for the hike out.

remembering.

Looks like the snow pack is low, am I correct? Went up there in 97' and the snow was 20ft deep down low. We skied what you climbed, very nice views.

Re: remembering.

Yes the snow was low, but it was very fresh and soft, and plenty deep for someone without snowshoes or skii's. Th lee slopes up high had well over ten feet judging by how buried the trees were.

Re: Love it !

Their great in the summer but after this trip I think I will be visiting them much more often in future winters (and early springs).

Retards!

I had some pretty retarded but very fun winter trips in the Wallowas when I was in my late teens early twenty's too. Good to know the foolishness hasn't stopped. Carry on!!! Next time take a cowboy hat, it helps ya blend in well with the locals and goes great with the poncho.
