Nice!

THE DHARMA BUMS is one of my favorite Kerouac novels. Because of that, I dearly want to hike to the summit of Matterhorn Peak.

Looks like you had a great day. Linking up Whorl and Matterhorn is quite a dayhike. I am not even mentioning Rodgers.
Me and my girlfriend planned to join you all for Rodgers but could not leave town on Friday to get to the trailhead on time. Ended up dayhiking Whorl on Saturday August 4 with a late start (11 am). Did not have good beta, so ended up climbbing some 4-th class. Spend a lot of time on Southeast Face. Returned to the trailhead at 3:30 am! Here is the link to our photos:

I was quite surprised to see so many people signing in the summit log the day before.
