You started from

my camping spot. I've camped here a couple times the last three years. The last time I camped here in february I was awoken by a beaver splashing around in Whitehorse Creek next to the tent.

Re: You started from

Interesting. Bet it was cold!

I'm limping along on this one. SP is almost unusable everything is SO slow.

Lots of debate going on in the forums regarding this and if the site is going to die.

This might be my SP swansong!

Re: You started from

I've camped down on the Alvord a few times in the winter, and havent dealt with cold weather once. The weather can be surprisingly accomodating down there, although as you experienced the summits are a little frigid.

BTW, glad you took the time to submit this I was looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Froze my ass on Pueblo!

I've just attached the photos to the TR for now. Feel free to attach them to each mountain page if you want and to use any of them as you see fit in the body of the page.

Re: You started from

I hated that shelf road on Pueblo. I did have the misfortune of meeting another vehicle on it (it was coming up) but I only had to back up about 300 yards. I'd hate to meet someone about halfway and have to back up all the way.
Other than that, I enjoyed Pueblo.

That road

I know you hated that road. I read your summit log entry and TR before I went.

It was bad alright but not the worst I've done. That was getting to Alexandra Peak on rhe Island. You can read about it here. No pics of the really scary bits unfortunately. My hands were firmly on the wheel and my spotter was kept much too busy.

Re: That road

Buttle Bluffs road won't be seeing the likes of me. I'd rather hike up those roads than risk my vehicle and myself. Of course, hiking is reported to be good exercise for some of us.
