There is no problem with the walk off anymore and more of the elephant has been opened up to public, including an excellent Columbian crack. There is actually trail around the whole Elephant Rock formation.
Rappel - from the lower anchors below Rye Crisp anchor (I believe it is an anchor for 5.9 Just Say No, you can get down with one 60 meter rope rappel.
