Vrtaca group from Begunjscica

This is how the small group of Vrtača is seen from the summit of Begunjščica (from the SE). Vrtača itself is the big summit on the left, sending down its SE ridge. That one offers an easy climb (UIAA I), the overgrown lower part should best be detoured. Towards the right of Vrtača are the summits of Zelenjak and Palec (the sharp one). That's the main ridge of the Karawanks, together with the SE ridge of Vrtača, it is surrounding the high valley of Suho Ruševje. The path, ascending into the valley from Zelenica, is clearly seen.
