Why?

In last August I've spent an unforgetable 12 days in Vent (1900m), Ă–tztaler Alps, in the house of Eberhardt Fimml. I've made many photos and most of them were made in Vent. Sometimes I did not know what I was making a photo of.
So here are some pictures from Vent or of Vent!

Yes!

My "alpine career" also starts here if I can call it like this. When we arrived to Vent we had never been on glacier before except under Grossglockner years before. And all our gear was new. We have spent a year by collecting money, and looking for the essential, and best gear for our money.
So it's understandable that Eberhardt thought we were just begginers, or rich travellers, but we had been hiking in the High Tatras for years before and in the Alps too.
His wife (who is hungarian :)) also told us be careful and go to lower peaks. We always took the advice of those who were more experienced than us.
And one day we climbed Similaun without any problems, and four days later we stood on the second highest of Austria. We do not speek german but when we explained Eberhardt some way that we climbed Wildspitze he just said: "Gut, gut!" And came in for a schnaps :)!
So we liked to be there very much. And we'll go this year too. May be Weisskugel, Hintere Schwartze, Saykogel, Fluchtkogel or Schalfkogel...who knows...

Thanks for voteing! Cheers! Martin

Ps.: If you have pictures of Vent please add it to this album!
