Thanks for this picture!

I am wondering what is your opinion about the plan, that we (a friend, my father and me) are going to try Triglav in the winter (early february)

Many thanks!

Den

Re: Thanks for this picture!

You welcome Den! It all depends of your skills and conditions. Triglav is tough in winter with very steep snowy slopes and no security pegs or cables. If you are not experienced in this kind of terrain I wouldn't recommend it. If you are then go for it :-)

thanks for the assistance!

The only thing I want to avoid is a 1-1,5m deep powder snow, and so thus the risk of avalanches. Any other way we hope to succeed.
Triglav is one of our early plan. But browsing some of SP images about Julian Apls and other nearby located mountain ranges wintery sight made me a bit frightened. A have never seen so much snow!!! :)

Thanks for your assistance!
