glacier retrietplease compare this picture to the one I took in 1984 from the same spot. The difference is amazing

DramaticIndeed astonishing, the glacier must have lost half of its volume in this period. On the South of Hochalmspitze, Trippkees has stopped being a glacier and now is only a stationary icefield which one day, not so distant, will completely disappear.
