Smrceve Doline

Southern part of Smrceve Doline (spruce valleys) from the summit of Gromovaca (1676m), joint highest peak of Rozanski Kukovi on North Velebit. Smrceve Doline is vast area placed between Rozanski Kukovi and seaboard streak of peaks of North Velebit. It is one of the wildest and loneliest areas on whole Velebit. Under a blanket of beech and spruce forests lies karst chaos, strewn with funnel shaped depressions and holes. Only one marked path goes through fraction of the area, the one which ascends from the coast towards Rozanski Kukovi.
