Mont Beuvray -821m- is one...

Mont Beuvray -821m- is one off the main mountain of Morvan massif. 2050 years ago this place was occupied by Bibracte - a town with 5000 or 10000 inhabitants. Julius Caesar has lived here in autumn 52 a.c. The summit on the picture is flat and covered by trees... but this is a mountain.

Apt analogy to Gulf War

Reason: energy- oil now,slaves then

Stated reason: Kuwait now, Switzerland then

Bush captures Hussein, Caesar gets Vercingetorix

Lasting benefit: Democracy in Iraq? Good wine techniques introduced to Burgundy.

Kinda breaks down because Vercingetorix didn't do ethnic cleansing but it's a rough parallel.
