What can you say?Mountain shadows are amazing sights, and make rare photos too. You have to be prepared to suffer for shots like these. Great stuff.

Re: What can you say?Thanks! Looking at your photos, I see why you noticed. Great stuff as well. Did you see the other shot? It was taken within seconds of this one. I cloned out the dead tree stuff in the foreground.

Re. Re. Re!Ha, well I've seen it now! Again, great stuff. Can't wait to get to the Cascades, it's just so tantilising from so many points of view. Photgraphy, hiking, climbing, geology, seismology, volcanology. It will go on whether people are there to see it or not. As far as photgraphy goes, I must say I'm a bit of a purist :)

Re: Re. Re. Re!I take it that means you wish I'd left the dead trees in the foreground. I did for years and of course still have that version too. Several people told me it would be a better photo without that stuff in the foreground. Call me a phlegmatic - it doesn't bother me either way. :-)
When will you be coming to visit the Cascades. Please let me know when you do - maybe we could get together.

When? If!Ha, well, if I'm not in Ecuador next summer then maybe will be somewhere up Mt Rainier. Got Camp Muir and Pinnacle Peak on the cards for sure, have been teased enough! Have a friend who worked there, I can see why they miss it so much when they're away. Home is where you hang up your crampons after all. Will let you know! :D As for photography ethics, maybe that's something for the forum? ^_^
