Nice Looking Route!

Great shot! What route is this (and what's the rating)? I'm looking forward to visiting Courtright for the first time this spring/summer.

Re: Nice Looking Route!

5.11b R...NICE! Knowing Kris and Guyzo I did not expect anything less than that...

Re: Nice Looking Route!

That does look like a very nice, aesthetic route!

Re: Nice Looking Route!

OK - found it. I'll answer my own question: The Carson Kodas Arete, 5.11b R

A wee bit beyond my abilities but still cool looking.

Re: Nice Looking Route!

Glanced at your profile. You should be able to have an awesome time at Courtright. There are some really good moderate routes. If you can up the ante to 5.9, Power Dome has good routes which are long. Also the Tiger Cage has some moderates in a nice setting. Don't forget to have fun...

Scary arete!

Is it me, or does it look like you could take a long slide there and get your rope sliced on the edge of the arete? Beautiful shot, thought. A little fuzzy, but it makes me want to go climbing...

Re: Scary arete!

No it wont cut your rope but if you fall, at a 5.10c sub-crux, you will slide and slide and then go into space! You could dump a load into your pants.
