The northeast face of Pico de...

The northeast face of Pico de Aguila showing our line of descent (blue). We found this route to be steep and exposed with a high degree of objective danger. After the descent, we identified another route along the ridge (red) which is probably the preferred route between Pico Noreste and Pico de Aguila.

Notes on route

The red route is much better (but a little steep in places)... In Oct 2009 I went up your red route, then cut across just below the peak and joined your blue line just at the bottom left of the dog-leg just beneath the summit - kind of directly above the free-standing pinnacle in the middle of your photo. Came back more closely along the ridge - it felt safer... Less loose...
