North Gardner as viewed from...

North Gardner as viewed from Abernathy Peak to the SSW on June 3, 2001. Pt. 8487 is closer to the camera. Imagine standing near that point and seeing a bolt of lightning arc down into the basin on the other side then back up to the summit of N. Gardner in a giant N pattern. Then imagine there being people near the summit at that same moment. Shocking! That's my lightning story and I'm sticking with it.

This pic is still one of my favorites from your whole series of pics on this peak. Hard to visualize the electrical storm when we went up it in 85-90 degree weather and sweating like crazy and being tormented by zillions of bugs on the summit of North Gardner. What a great area though. I still have to go back and get Abernathy.
