Osceola Peak as seen from the vicinity of Freds Pass to the southwest on August 19, 2001. On the right is Mt. Carru. Freds Pass and nearby Freds Lake were named by Lage Wernstedt for his son. Further, nearby Lake Doris honors Wernstedt's daughter.
