Hmmmm, guess learning how to...

Hmmmm, guess learning how to use prussik knots pays off in the long run. Of course, this pic was taken by me hanging on a nearby rope as we were taught how to use prussic knots to work our way back up the rope. Crevasse rescue skills are essential on the glaciers of the northwest. The guy hanging on the rope is Adi Weisensteiner on Aug 7th, 1969. Actually, I'm getting myself psyched up to do Mt Baker in June. I need to get back to my "glacial" roots. Now where'd I put those prussik knots?

No, not Dennis. These shots from yesteryear are a reminder to me that I've been able to enjoy a lifetime of mountain fun and the nice thing is that I am still able to get out and enjoy being in the mountains.
