Ancient NamesDoes anyone know what the Puranic names (or any other in ancient Sanskrit texts) are for the high three majestic peaks of Tirich Mir? I read in the "The Purana Index" by Prof. V.R.R. Dikshitar (original edn. 1952) that various Puranas refer to them as "TRISHRINGA" (meaning three peaks). The location of the mountain in the Puranas is said to be to the north of Meru (Pamir) and West of a lake called Shitoda, from which many rivers flow in the Indian Subcontinent. However, there are four peaks-- the second from the left being the smallest of them. Any help, with pertinent references, will be greatly appreciated.
