Do not count on this! Zavizan road in not cleared in winter because it is impossible to keep it clean. Past weekend it was because Zavizan hut is 15 days without electricity (because of the ice) so gasoline for power generator was desperately needed. Because of the wind and fog helicopter is unusable. This photo is here to demonstrate how much snow there can be on Velebit in the beginning of December. Be sure to know the route because many marks on the trees are already under snow! Road will soon be buried again, Bura will take care for that.
