A perfect place to view the western Dolomites is the Buffaure Ridge in the southern Marmolada Group. The Ridge itself consists of grass covered summits and can be climbed / hiked by the "Sentiero Attrezzato Lino Pederiva" a trail, equipped with securing cables on all difficult passages (rather more than would be necessary). This shot was taken from the saddle between Su l'Aut (2515m) and Sella di Ciamol (2534m) and shows the Langkofel Group from SSE. July 21st 2005
