High moor near Heiligengeistsattel

The #6 ascent route on Olševa / Uschowa is long and till the main ridge almost all the time goes through the woods. But the forest is nice, geologically the trail is interesting and there are some nice places already in its lower parts (like: Kupitzklamm - gorge, St. Leonhard church, this high moor). On the main ridge there are old Carboniferous slates and other rock beds, holding water. So, on some 1400 m of altitude, on the very ridge a small moor area can be found with its specific fauna and flora. This is one of its ponds. The limestone rocks of Olševa are in the distance, we still need some 30 minutes to reach them. September 13th, 2020.
