Amazing that it was taken from a major metropolitan area

Nice shot.

Another crazy route idea

You know, the W Ridge of the BF Twins is a route I've been thinking about doing (perhaps as a winter route?). It shows up nicely as the left skyline of the BF Twins summit in this photo :-)

Re: Another crazy route idea

Good idea. Last time I was on the West Twin summit I spent sometime trying to scope out those ridges. Granted that's a poor perspective to scope from, but it didn't look out of the question. In the winter that ridge seems to melt often (no cornices, etc.). If you're not already back in CA by then, it would be a fun exploration.

I'll be back in CA, but will be swingin' by over winter break - could be fun to check out :~)

Thanks

Thanks for labeling this picture. Every time I look up there when driving in to Salt Lake valley from Utah valley I wonder exactly what I'm looking at---now I know!

Houses at the bottom of the pic

Wow! I just realized those are houses at the bottom of this picture---like Scott said, amazing that it's this close to a major metro area. Only place in the U.S. like this I believe...
