View to the Blaueisspitze (2481m) in the Hochkalter group

The Blaueisspitze, the name meaning "Blue Ice Peak", is named after the Blaueis Glacier, a small glacier at it's base and known as the Alps' northernmost glacier.

Thanks a lot, Dean, you're very kind! It was literally in the last moment that I decided not to get off the bus in Ramsau, but continue straight up to Hintersee yesterday evening. And there they were, those peaks, in such a beautiful and clear light, as if to say "Come on - please photograph us!" :-)
