Vermont's Highpoint

Vermont's Highpoint

Mount Mansfield, 4,393' above sea level, is Class Two and is our country's 26th highest state highpoint. My 38th HP. No self portrait on the summit due to Hurricane Nicole's fierce winds. My camera tripod would have been blown off the mountain! Everything that wasn't nailed down blew away. Visibility was very limited as well. Thank god for the painted white lines from this trail junction to the summit. I did have the summit all to myself; imagine that?
