Valley of the Necromancer

Valley of the Necromancer

"As gray traces of dawn tinge the eastern sky, the three travelers, men of Willow Dale, emerge from the forest shadow. Fording the River Dawn, they turn south, journeying into the dark and forbidding lands of the Necromancer ..." Sedona is located just at the base of the Mogollon Rim, an escarpment that runs east-west through the middle of Arizona and defines the boundary between the Colorado Plateau to the north, and the Basin and Range to the south. The Mogollon Rim is about 200 miles long, and ranges between 2000 and 3000 feet in height. In the Sedona region, erosion has gradually eaten away at the rim, moving it northward a distance of about four miles and leaving behind some of the most spectacular canyons, buttes and spires found anywhere in the world. Cypress trees fill the void between The Fin (far right) and the towering pyramidal beauty of the Accropolis, seen here from the Brins Mesa Trail. January 20, 2010

Valley of the Necromancer

Man, I gotta' admit, I ripped you off. Saved this and put it up as my screen saver. I'd offer one of mine in return but nothing compares. Fantastic!

Re: Valley of the Necromancer

Not a problem! My advice would be for you to
come down and check out the Desert Southwest
sometime.

I moved down here from western Washington
back in 1991. We have a Roosevelt Lake, but
it's all-together different from your Lake
Roosevelt. Cactus everywhere you look.

One of these days, I need to get back up to Washington and see if Sasquatch still
remembers me. Ha, ha ...
