little guyI never really noticed how the wiskers really are out of control. I rescued the little guy from certain death-he is paralyzed from the waist back, but he is rehabbing marvelously- He has doubled in weight in 3 weeks and can now twitch his tail and back legs. (rodents suffer rear end paralysis right before they die of malnourishment and seizures) "People smile and tell HIM he's the lucky one" and I'm so happy to have him and visa versa.

Re: little guySo, I found one of these little buddies a few weeks ago, too. He is 4 weeks old. Very sweet. Give me a shout if you want the details.

Re: He's cuteHe is doing well. Although he still drags himself around he has become increasingly agressive always in a playful way, at least up until today that is. I gave him some granola and when I lowered the syringe to feed him water into the cage he made a growling noise I've never heard from any forest creature. Then he sprung on my hand and bit my finger. I think he thought I was going to take his food from him. Talk about hungry. I feel bad not being able to afford him his freedom because if I did he would perish in the cold NE winter. He wouldnt have stored any food or even made a home so I must wait til spring-poor little guy.
