Bob Bolton snapped this shot as I was enjoying some rock during my use of the moat to avoid the "airy footpath" section. It took about ten minutes to do the "moat" versus one minute or less to do the glacier traverse but I had new boots on and they were giving me some problems so I opted for the safer but more strenous route. Duane, standing just below me, went up this route on the ascent but chose the traverse on the return. 3 Fingers route near Tin Can Gap on 8-24-07

There is something....

I like about this image. Not your typical SP climbing shot. Nice contrast between snow and rock and the climbers searching for the best route.

I appreciate the comments Doug. I can honestly say I felt the same way when I saw this shot that Bob took, he just seemed to have captured something different.

On the same day

in Oxford, Ohio it was 96 F in the shade, so the ice box makes lots of sense.
